In the course of a visit to a cathedral in Staffordshire on the start of the week, the King was confronted by a individual who asked him about Prince Andrew's relationship with disgraced financier Jeffrey Epstein.

The individual inquired how long the King had been known about his brother's association with Epstein, and also questioned whether he had instructed the authorities to "hide" for Andrew.

Despite the protest, there were crowds of supporters and applause for the King, who was in Staffordshire for an engagement.

The Duke of York's associations with Epstein have been under renewed focus in the past few weeks. The royal, who relinquished his royal duties earlier this month, has categorically denied any misconduct.

"How long have you known about Andrew and Epstein? Have you asked the police to conceal for Andrew?"

The King remained silent but continued greeting supporters, some of whom chanted "Long live the King". One supporter can be heard requesting him for a hug.

A female bystander outside the cathedral was also observed telling the heckler to "go away" and to "shut up".

Controversy Reignited by Memoir

The scandal over the Duke of York's connections to Jeffrey Epstein has been reignited by misconduct allegations repeated in Ms. Giuffre's recently released memoir.

In the memoir, the accuser says she had sex with the prince on three separate occasions, including once with Epstein and "eight other young girls"

Prince Andrew, who reached a out-of-court agreement with the plaintiff in 2022, has repeatedly denied any misconduct. In 2019, he told BBC Newsnight he did not remember meeting Ms Giuffre "ever", and that they "did not have any sort of intimate relations."

Fresh Questions About Finances and Housing

But recently, new inquiries have been asked about how he is able to fund his way of life despite not being a active member of the royal family.

The disclosure that he has only ever paid a token annual rent on his Royal Lodge has intensified the scrutiny over his housing situation - even though he made large payments initially, including for renovations.

The political party said he should be called in front of MPs to give evidence about his rental agreement of his residence.

But last Thursday, the government refused to give MPs time to debate the prince's status or his residence, despite increasing calls for scrutiny.

Buckingham Palace has not issued a statement on whether the Duke of York might move out of his home - or where he might reside.
